Egg Drop Protection Proposal

A problem was presented to the 2017-2018 conceptual physics class. They had to stop a raw yolk from cracking even though they fell from a height of 1 meter. Unfortunately, the stock of eggs has dropped and this has led to more restrictions. The only materials we could use were ten, all of which were priced differently. Naturally, we chose the cheapest material and designed a minimalistic product. For such a cheap price, we decided that it should be the most durable design possible. The perfect design consisted 6 straws with 8in. Masking tape. We achieved our main goal of diverting the force away from the egg and towards the egg. Unfortunately, our rotatability failed. We do not believe this design is designed to be flipped upside down.

Statement of the problem Mama and papa chickens face a big problem. Robert Grillo is the director and president of free from harm. He says that 6,000,000,000 eggs are dropped every year. Beth Maxey’s world estimate of 14 cents for an egg would result in $840,000,000 being wasted. We believe that humans are clumsy and that it is impossible to stop eggs from dropping. Drop prevention is not efficient, so we must find a way to stop the eggs from breaking after they fall. Design ObjectivesProtect eggs at a low cost. The device should be easy to handle for the customer. We would also like to make sure that our design can be tested easily and does not require too much rebuilding. Technical Approach: (Aidan L. If you are not able to complete this section, don’t fret. This section will discuss how you are going to accomplish the goals that were presented in the preceding section. The plan should be logically sequenced. Below are some subheadings that show a logical sequence.

We decided to notify our customers about the plan in order to determine any special requests that they may have for our plan. Exxon Mobile is one of these partners, as are WEGGmart and McdEGGnalds. In order to communicate information between our parties and our engineers, we held interviews. These interviews were to ensure that the information was received and understood by both parties. For the different availability of the products, we created a questionnaire that was sent to the parties (see FigureA-). Identifying Targeted Specifications In this section you should place paragraphs describing how you selected the specifications. Continue to use the same formatting as previously discussed.

Generating Concepts You would put paragraphs here that describe how you came up with the concepts. This section should contain a list of all the design concepts you have created. You could place those concepts in a column with a summary for each. The paragraphing structure should be the same as that discussed in earlier sections. You should discuss three or more concepts in this section, perhaps giving each one a paragraph. You would write paragraphs explaining how you chose the design concept. It is also important to identify the alternative concepts that you have chosen for the project. Use the same format for your paragraphs as in the previous sections. Project Management In this section, you will present the plan that you have for managing your project. This plan needs to be organized logically. Please ensure that there is a paragraph of transition between “Project Management”, and “Deliverables”. This paragraph should explain and introduce your Gantt chart. The solid lines indicate which tasks have been completed.

The customer will receive two pieces of the product when they open up the lime green box. The body is 5 polytube-ultradurable-carbon fibre straws in a stacked pyramid. Instead of the straw, an outre-stretchyband is used. It is attached to two straws which normally connect the 6th straw. This makes it easy for the eggs to be inserted and removed. You would use this section to explain your communication and coordination with the sponsor. Use the same format for paragraphs as in previous sections. Team Qualifications In this section, you will introduce the team’s qualifications and include the Appendix A resumes. This section will include paragraphs for each teammate. As in the previous sections, use the same formatting for your paragraphs.
